How different are the A1 and B1 groups?
A1 uses more structure, sentence starters and everyday situations. B1 moves faster into stories, opinions, follow-up questions and less prepared conversation.
How will you decide my level?
You complete a free five-to-seven-minute level check and short Dutch voice note. Joram reviews how you continue, develop answers, interact, repair and understand before recommending A1 or B1.
Do I need to attend all eight sessions?
You should plan to attend every week. A consistent four-person group is part of the programme, and each session builds on the previous one.
What happens if I miss a session?
An individual missed session is not refunded. Sessions are not recorded and there are no private make-up lessons. You still receive that week’s phrase card and speaking challenge.
What is expected between sessions?
Complete one short phrase or voice challenge. The work is intentionally light; consistent practice matters more than long homework.
What does the course include—and not include?
It includes eight live speaking sessions, phrase cards, weekly challenges, a midpoint check and comparable Week 0 and Week 8 voice tasks. It is not a grammar course and does not award an official CEFR certificate.
What happens after the level check?
If the group fits, you receive a personal A1 or B1 offer. One place is held for exactly 48 hours before it can go to another learner.
What if my group is full or cannot start?
Each group has four places. A place counts while it is paid or actively reserved by a personal 48-hour offer. A group needs at least three paying learners to start; otherwise you can transfer or receive a full refund.
